為了培養(yǎng)并激發(fā)學(xué)生的閱讀興趣，使學(xué)生們樂于讀書、勤于讀書,，并從小養(yǎng)成良好的英語閱讀習(xí)慣，我校于3月6日至4月6日開展了為期一個(gè)月的自主閱讀活動(dòng),，初一、初二全體學(xué)生參與其中,，同學(xué)們積極閱讀了很多優(yōu)秀的英文書籍,，并寫了書評參與比賽。
下面選登初一年級部分獲得一等獎(jiǎng)的書評,，作者分別為初一（1）班的魯冠廷同學(xué),、初一（2）班的張泠然、王永樂同學(xué),。
Book Review –Jane Eyre

There is a book written by Charlotte Bronte, I‘d like to talk about, if you would see it, you’ll know how its perfect. You never know what Eyre thought, because you never really know Eyre totally.
The book is talk about an amazing story that happened on a goodness lady called Jane Eyre, a truly love story between Eyre and Mr. Rochester. The lady Eyre is a person that really lovesRochester, not for the money, or the power, just loves him because of his intelligent, kindness and goodness. She has no one to afraid. There is nobody can debate their relation. But during the wedding, an uninvited guest destroys the entire things between Mr. Rochester and Eyre. Eyre aborted far away from the town, evenEngland, but Mr. Rochester cannot forget Eyre, he dream that Eyre will come back. You probably ask why, it’s because a ’can’t’ permitted mistake, Mr. Rochester has a wife until his wife dead. But terribly, her wife is still living. Mr. Rochester is a millionaire. He has a huge manor, where he lives, same as his wife. So Eyre cannot bear this, she just away from the problems.
After a long time, Eyre got twenty thousand pounds from his uncle, she can’t forget Mr. Rochester, and she’s going back to Mr. Rochester. When she’s back toEngland, she got to a hotel near his manor. The hotel’s host told her what happened between Mr. Rochester and her ex, Ms. Mason. Ms. Mason was dead by a special fire, started because herself. Whatever Eyre found Mr. Rochester. But he was disabled, and lost an arm, a leg and two eyes. But they loved each other deeply, and someday, they got married at a church, with nobody else. It was quite quiet. And everything was the same as before. They spend the married life happily with each other, nobody will destroy their world. And that’s all.
It’s a story that deeply attracts me; I really think that they are lucky. However the world changed, they love each other, and those are what some of us cannot do. That also shows us a lady who wants a love that which is independent and freedom. Those are quite worth thinking about.
Book Review

Last week, I read a very interesting book called “Vidia and the Fairy Crown” which was written by Laura Driscoll. This book is about fairies. Vidia, Queen Charion, Prilla are the main characters of this book. The story happened in the Pixie Hollow where all the fairies live.
Vidia is the fast flying fairy that is always against the queen and she’s always making trouble. One day, the Queen was going to have a party, of course, Vidia hadn’t been invited. Some days before that, she said to others that would be very funny if Queen doesn’t have her Crown. But so strange, the Queen really couldn’t find her crown at that time!
Most of the fairies thought Vidia took it, so she needed to clear her name. A kind fairy whose name is Prilla went with her and helped her. They tried a lot and worked hard to find the crown. Finally, they found that was the queen’s helpers dropped the crown somewhere and they got the right crown after two day’s searching. Vidia cleared her name and lived in the Pixie Hollow happily.
I like the beginning part of the book best. It talked about the celebration’s preparing. It described the entire thing they did. The delicious foods just like: oven-roasted mini-pumpkin soup, pine nuts and so on. I even want to taste them! It also said how clean the place were, where chairs are placed and how they decorated them. I can feel how busy they were and how happy they were. I nearly can see how Pixie Hollow looked like! Those descriptions bring me into a wonderful place! I even want to join them.
I learnt a lot from this book too. I know we need to try our best to help others, never give up, and be brave and so on. But one thing I thought is the most important one. You know, when all the fairies accused her of something that she didn’t do, she didn’t lose hope and she didn’t cry at all. She just calmed down and thought what she should do to help herself. That’s a really good way. And when she met such many difficulties, she didn’t give up. She tried her best and found the truth to prove that she didn’t do it. In that side, I admire her.
Many people can’t do what she did. When someone suspects them, they will do some silly things. Most of them just do nothing; they even don’t want to clear their names. Some of them chose a really bad way to show they didn’t do that kind of thing, for example, they killed themselves and they used dead to show their innocent. How silly they are! We shouldn’t do that! Everyone’s life is value. It’s only once. We can’t that choose to die to clear their names. There are many ways. When it happens, we need to try our best to show the truth to them. And if we meet difficulties, we should keep doing it and never give up!

Last week I read a book. The name of the bookis The Adventure of Tom Sawyer, written by Mark Twain.
This book is very interesting, when you are reading this book, it is like you are personally on the scene of this book. The book's main characters are Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry and Becky.
The Adventure of Tom Sawyer is one of the greatest classics in the world literature treasure house. It describes people's lives in the nineteenth Century in a small town on theMississippi River. Tom Sawyer is a very smart boy. He can do many things. Becky is a very beautiful girl. Tom Sawyer loves her. He is willing to take punishment for Becky in the school. Becky is touched. Then, a thrilling and exciting story begins. Last he catches the bad wolf. He becomes a hero.
I like adventure stories, and I like Tom Sawyer, because he is very honest. I like Becky too, she is beautiful. Tom Sawyer is like many boys, honest, brave, young, intelligent, and willing to accept challenge. More importantly, he has a noble quality, that is Collective consciousness. We don’t have that.
What I have learned from this book can be described by two phrases: doing things and being brave. I learned from the book, how to do things above? You can find the answer from the book. Like Tom Sawyer one should have the courage to take the blame for what one has done, one can persuade friends to help you wholeheartedly like Tom Sawyer. Don't be afraid of any classmates’ ridicule and coldness. It is worth learning. How can we do things above? We should forgive others, even when he misunderstands you. I think this book is worth reading.
