11月8日，初中高端英語項(xiàng)目外教Ms. Emily展示了一堂公開課,，新穎的活動(dòng)設(shè)計(jì)與活躍的師生互動(dòng)為同學(xué)們打開了購物的新方式,。初中教導(dǎo)處主任王莉以及全體英語組教師觀摩聽課并評(píng)課。
Ms. Emily結(jié)合目前正在火熱進(jìn)行的“雙十一購物節(jié)”十分巧妙地引出了本節(jié)課的話題“shopping”,。同學(xué)們積極思考自己想要購買的物品以及購物場(chǎng)景,，提出了一個(gè)個(gè)疑問并得到Emily的回答，從而自發(fā)地學(xué)到了很多購物相關(guān)詞匯,。緊接著,，Emily又進(jìn)一步通過圖片展示，情節(jié)補(bǔ)寫,，以及自主造句的方式為同學(xué)們補(bǔ)充了更多的購物相關(guān)詞匯,，如purchase, bargain, knockoff 等,。在這個(gè)過程中,，同學(xué)們真正地沉浸在了“購物”的英語世界中,，表達(dá)欲望強(qiáng)烈,，學(xué)習(xí)氛圍濃厚,。
奠定好詞匯基礎(chǔ)后，Emily又帶大家走進(jìn)商店進(jìn)行購物,。同學(xué)們兩兩一組，一個(gè)人飾演售貨員,，一個(gè)人飾演顧客,，根據(jù)Emily的對(duì)話描述進(jìn)行表演,，當(dāng)然,，Emily也為學(xué)生設(shè)置了很多填空的地方,，促進(jìn)大家積極思考回顧并應(yīng)用剛剛學(xué)到的詞匯進(jìn)行表達(dá),。最后是大家的展示時(shí)間。根據(jù)前面的購物示例,，描述一次自己購物經(jīng)歷,。 整堂課，任務(wù)一環(huán)扣一環(huán),，既調(diào)動(dòng)了學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣也培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生的語言表達(dá)能力。在上課過程中,，教師能通過啟發(fā),、例舉,、提問或反問等引導(dǎo)并激發(fā)學(xué)生思考,，并通過結(jié)對(duì)扮演的方式有效地促進(jìn)了學(xué)生的課堂參與度,。
課后所有聽課老師就本節(jié)科學(xué)課進(jìn)行了深入的研討和點(diǎn)評(píng)，大家紛紛就本節(jié)課的亮點(diǎn)和改進(jìn)點(diǎn)發(fā)表了自己的看法,。本次活動(dòng)全程錄像并在資料組內(nèi)共享,，作為后續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)提高的資源。
本次外教公開課活動(dòng)提升了中外教共同學(xué)習(xí)和討論的學(xué)術(shù)氛圍,，提高和增強(qiáng)了我校中外籍教師的專業(yè)素養(yǎng)和教學(xué)基本功,。

Reflection on Open Class
For my open class this week, we did a speaking class about shopping in preparation for the coming Single’s Day on Thursday. The main objective of the class was to familiarize the students with vocabulary related to shopping and also give them a chance to use this vocabulary when purchasing an item. By the end of the class, the students were able to use the new words to make sentences and to complete a sample dialogue. They also had a chance to practice the dialogue in pairs. I look forward to working more with the students after this class, as we will try to use the new vocabulary in freer speaking practice.
While planning this lesson, I tried to connect the new vocabulary to situations related to the students’ lives, in the hopes that providing a context would not only help generate interest in the topic, but would also give the students examples with which to associate the target language. I was also excited to teach the students some newer words like “knockoffs” and “stingy”, which are colloquial English words quite that can be useful when talking about shopping. Despite being excited about the lesson, one thing I would like to work on is pacing. As one of my colleagues correctly pointed out, teaching less words will give more time for production activities. However, because I spent the majority of the lesson on teaching new vocabulary, there was not enough time for roleplaying at the end. Thus, for future lessons, I will try dividing new vocabulary up over two lessons, so the students can have freer speaking practice during each lesson.
Overall, the students are now more familiar with words related to shopping, and they have a better idea of how to use these words in a real-life situation. For my next class, I am looking forward to putting our new vocabulary into practice and giving the students different situations to roleplay. I believe they will be able to master these words quickly!
In conclusion, I believe it was a fairly successful lesson, but certainly with room for improvement. The students worked hard and were able to use our new vocabulary to construct sentences and do guided practice. They are more familiar with shopping vocabulary now, and we will work more on how to use these words in real-life situations. I look forward to teaching the students more about shopping and other topics related to their lives.

在設(shè)計(jì)這節(jié)課時(shí),，我試圖將新詞匯與學(xué)生生活息息相關(guān)的事務(wù)聯(lián)系起來。希望以此來提供一個(gè)上下文背景介紹,。這樣不僅有助于激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)主題的興趣,，還可以給學(xué)生舉例，讓他們聯(lián)想到目標(biāo)語言,。我還很開心教給學(xué)生一些新單詞,，如“仿冒品”和“吝嗇”。這是英語口語中的單詞,，在談?wù)撡徫飼r(shí)非常有用,。盡管我對(duì)這一課很滿意，但有一件事我想進(jìn)一步改進(jìn),。我的一位同事建議說,，少教單詞會(huì)給學(xué)生留出更大的空間去發(fā)揮。然而,，因?yàn)槲一ㄔ诹私淌谛略~匯上的時(shí)間略顯多了,，所以最后沒有充足的時(shí)間讓所有學(xué)生進(jìn)行角色扮演。因此,，在以后的課程中,，我將嘗試將新詞匯分為兩節(jié)課，這樣學(xué)生們可以在每節(jié)課中進(jìn)行更多的口語練習(xí),。
總的來說,，學(xué)生們現(xiàn)在更熟悉與購物相關(guān)的詞匯了。他們對(duì)如何在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中使用這些詞匯有了更深刻的認(rèn)識(shí),。接下來的課程中,，我期待著學(xué)生們能夠在不同場(chǎng)景下扮演角色，靈活地運(yùn)用學(xué)到的詞匯,。我相信他們會(huì)更快更好地掌握這些單詞,！
