為弘揚(yáng)北外附校第八屆科技節(jié)的精神,，12月5日中午,，我校全體初二年級(jí)師生齊聚二階，開(kāi)展了別開(kāi)生面的“科技”主題英語(yǔ)演講比賽,。

參加演講比賽決賽的選手為全年級(jí)各班篩選出的代表各一名,。演講的內(nèi)容涉及到當(dāng)代科技的方方面面，可謂各有千秋,。三班任伯遠(yuǎn)的“Carbon Fibre”,，他介紹了碳纖維作為一種高科技含量的材料在生活、交通工具以及體育器材等方面的應(yīng)用,；四班邊鵬文的“The Smart Factory”介紹了奧迪工廠的高科技化運(yùn)作模式,；五班王衛(wèi)青以“Quantum Teleportation”為題介紹了量子學(xué)的知識(shí)；七班范清文的題目為“Solar Energy”,。他講解了太陽(yáng)能為人們帶來(lái)的各方面的便利以及可開(kāi)發(fā)的潛能等等,。激烈的演講感染了現(xiàn)場(chǎng)每一位觀眾。

此次演講比賽點(diǎn)燃了同學(xué)們心中對(duì)科技的激情和對(duì)未來(lái)的期待,，也讓同學(xué)們用英語(yǔ)了解和學(xué)習(xí)了當(dāng)今世界的科技,，培養(yǎng)了創(chuàng)新科技思維。同學(xué)們表示要發(fā)憤圖強(qiáng),，將來(lái)為祖國(guó)的科技發(fā)展貢獻(xiàn)力量,。

學(xué)生感想：

Today we are going to take you into the future world and experience advanced technology.“The host Li yutong begin the competition with a loud voice. Then the contestants begin to be put on a  serious and patient look on their face. “So, let’s welcome the first contestants Laura, from class 2 grade 8 to give us a speech.”

“首先，歡迎在座的各位來(lái)參加關(guān)于未來(lái)科技發(fā)展的演講比賽,，今天我們將要帶大家進(jìn)入未來(lái)世界,，體驗(yàn)先進(jìn)科技?！敝鞒秩死钣晖┯庙懥恋穆曇衾_(kāi)了演講比賽的序幕,，參賽選手們也變得嚴(yán)肅認(rèn)真起來(lái)?！笆紫?，讓我們欣賞來(lái)自初二二班的楊樂(lè)陶的演講”。

Laura took the microphone and step forward confidently. She stood in the middle of the stage and bowed deeply, ’Today I will talk about………, So…..’ Laura talked about what cells are, and the applications to cells today and what she imagines a series of applications for the future. Her speech deeply attracted me and brought me a new understanding of future technologies and cells.

楊樂(lè)陶接過(guò)麥克風(fēng),，自信的走到臺(tái)中央,，深深鞠了一躬，然后開(kāi)始了演講,。楊樂(lè)陶主要介紹了細(xì)胞是什么,，以及現(xiàn)代科技對(duì)細(xì)胞的應(yīng)用與她自己想象到的一系列的關(guān)于細(xì)胞在未來(lái)各領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用。她的演講深深地吸引了我,，給我?guī)?lái)了一個(gè)對(duì)未來(lái)科技以及細(xì)胞的全新認(rèn)識(shí),。

What impressed me deeply was Liu Yuen's speech. His speech skills were obviously higher than those of other contestants. He used his booming voice to give us a taste of artificial intelligence and future applications

給我印像深刻的還有劉予恩的演講，他的演講技巧顯然高于其他選手,，他用洪亮的聲音帶我們體驗(yàn)了人工智能以及未來(lái)應(yīng)用,。

Today’s speech competition not only gave us a chance to know about about science and technology, but also encouraged us to learn harder so as to gain more knowledge for the future study.

今天的演講比賽不僅讓我們了解到了當(dāng)代科技的方方面面，也激勵(lì)了我們刻苦學(xué)習(xí)文化知識(shí),，為未來(lái)建設(shè)我們的科技強(qiáng)國(guó)而奮斗,。

初二2班高凡

This afternoon, an exciting speech competition  took  place at our school.

After everyone was seated, the host walked up to the platform and explained the rules. Everyone was quiet with a little excitement. The players came on stage one after another. The two speakers who impressed me most were Yilin and Aaron.

His speech was affecting and deeply touched our heart. It is about “the carbon fiber”. In his speech he raised two questions. “What is carbon fiber?” and “why it is it so popular?” First, carbon fiber is a new kind material of high strength and high modulus. Fiber material contains more than 95% of carbon. How strong is it? It is about 5 timesstronger than the steel but with very low weight. Carbon fiber is used to make bikes, sportscar and helmet. He vividly introduced the use of carbon fiber to us and gave us  some examples too.Another speaker that impressed me was Yilin. The moment she came onto stage, her face was full of smile.The impact of science and technology on us is not only positive but also negative. Modern technology has brought us much convenience, for example QR code and online shopping.

Not long ago, some scientists discovered “the Genome Editing”.But that could be a huge problem for the world.

Time flies. The competition is over soon. I have learned a lot from this meaningful activity. I’ learned not only about the modern science and technology, but also about the rapid development of the world. Hope we can have more this kind of activities.
