光影中的皮影戲——小學(xué)高端英語項(xiàng)目組系列報(bào)道之二年級(jí)外教實(shí)踐課課堂風(fēng)采

在剛剛過去的兩周里,二年級(jí)的外教老師Robert帶領(lǐng)孩子們開展了一堂趣味盎然的活動(dòng)課——光影中的皮影戲,。孩子們通過自己制作并表演皮影戲,,學(xué)會(huì)了如何通過變換手電筒的光來形成不同的影子。

As part of the activities for the ‘light and shadows’ unit, we got the class to make shadow puppets for a lesson about shadows. These shadow puppets had the advantage of demonstrating how shadows work by making shadow puppets and making a play with them, so they could see what shadows they made, depending on where they put the torch and their puppets.

 


活動(dòng)前,,為啟發(fā)學(xué)生思考,,教師提出兩個(gè)皮影戲的相關(guān)問題:“影子在哪里?”“你什么時(shí)候可以看到影子,?”學(xué)生們踴躍發(fā)言,,很多答案相當(dāng)新穎而富有洞見,。在此過程中,學(xué)生們不僅練習(xí)了英語表達(dá),,也加深了對(duì)“光與影”這一單元主題下科學(xué)知識(shí)的理解,。

For the first part of the lesson, students were asked the question, where are shadows and when do you see them. Many students replied well and some gave excellent and insightful answers about how and why shadows are made. This built on their understanding of shadows as a science lesson, while it helped them practice their English.


 

接著,教師向?qū)W生們展示了生動(dòng)有趣的動(dòng)圖,,并據(jù)此教授了本單元課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求掌握的新詞匯,,比如“皮影戲”、“透明膠帶”等,。學(xué)生們一邊跟著Robert朗讀這些新單詞,,一邊觀看動(dòng)圖,Robert也著意糾正他們的發(fā)音,。其后是看圖猜詞的鞏固環(huán)節(jié),,幫助學(xué)生強(qiáng)化記憶。

 We then taught the students the new vocabulary for the lesson. This vocabulary was needed to help them make their shadow puppets and also to help them complete their workbook exercises. Students learnt words like ‘shadow puppets’ and ‘cellotape’. They repeated the new words while we listened to their pronunciation, while looking at pictures of the words. The students were then asked what the words were with the same pictures. This was to help them remember the new vocabulary. Some students could not remember some of the words, so we had them repeat the words so that they could remember better.

在皮影的制作環(huán)節(jié),,Robert給學(xué)生們口述了如何用卡紙和木棍制作皮影,,播放了通過光的變換制造不同的陰影來表演皮影戲的短片,并展示了多種多樣的皮影人物設(shè)計(jì),。孩子們以非凡的想象力和創(chuàng)造力制作出了美觀多樣的皮影人物,。課程最精彩的環(huán)節(jié)莫過于皮影戲表演——孩子們?cè)跍?zhǔn)備好的幕布后不停變換擺弄手電筒,用英文演繹了一出出活潑豐富,、精彩紛呈的皮影戲,。其中一個(gè)小組表演了關(guān)于“波音777”飛機(jī)墜機(jī)的故事,另一個(gè)小組演繹了一個(gè)勇敢的小女孩穿越叢林的故事,,都令人印象深刻,。

To help the students make the shadow puppets, we explained how to make them using English words and showed them a brief video of a shadow puppet play to demonstrate what they could make. We showed them a variety of different puppet designs to inspire them to make different puppets for their shadow puppet plays. The students made a beautiful array of different puppets and greatly enjoyed this creative side of the lesson. They told us what their puppets were in English. They then worked together in their teams to make a story with their new puppets. There were many excellent plays. One play was about the story of a Boeing 777 airplane, while another was about a girl walking through a jungle.

 這次的皮影戲活動(dòng)課對(duì)孩子們來說是非常好的提升英語能力的機(jī)會(huì)。孩子們不僅學(xué)到了和皮影相關(guān)的詞匯,,鍛煉了口語表達(dá)能力也提高了表達(dá)的自信心,。此外,他們還增強(qiáng)了動(dòng)手能力,、提升了想象力和創(chuàng)造力,。

This was an excellent activity to build on their English skills. The students’ stories helped them practice their English. They also learnt new words to make the puppets. This activity allowed students to learn science and build their confidence speaking English through a creative activity where they chose what to do.
