【小學(xué)·外語(yǔ)節(jié)活動(dòng)】Together for a Shared Future!一起向未來(lái)——記我校小學(xué)“冰雪奇緣”外語(yǔ)嘉年華活動(dòng)

4月8 日下午,,我校操場(chǎng)春意盎然,熱鬧非凡,。五道拱門(mén)高高立起,,學(xué)生們興致勃勃地從這里穿過(guò),依次進(jìn)入外語(yǔ)節(jié)闖關(guān)挑戰(zhàn)活動(dòng),。秉承北外附?!盎顒?dòng)育人”的辦學(xué)理念,春季學(xué)期“Together for a Shared Future!”外語(yǔ)嘉年華極大調(diào)動(dòng)和激發(fā)了同學(xué)們的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)熱情,,二至六年級(jí)的小學(xué)生們?nèi)珕T參與,。我校黨總支書(shū)記、小學(xué)校長(zhǎng)張繼軍參加了本次的嘉年華活動(dòng),。
熟悉的旋律歡快地響起,,高年級(jí)的同學(xué)們以一曲激情浪漫的奧運(yùn)主題歌《Together for a shared future》烘托出現(xiàn)場(chǎng)氣氛,張繼軍用英語(yǔ)宣布嘉年華闖關(guān)挑戰(zhàn)活動(dòng)正式開(kāi)始了,。
嘉年華活動(dòng)闖關(guān)必定離不開(kāi)剛結(jié)束的“2022北京冬奧會(huì)”,,冬奧運(yùn)動(dòng)員、冬奧項(xiàng)目,、冬奧中的中國(guó)元素,、冬奧會(huì)上的高科技等等,師生合作共同將這些冬奧會(huì)上備受關(guān)注的熱點(diǎn)和有趣的知識(shí)設(shè)計(jì)成生活化,、實(shí)用化,、體驗(yàn)式的游戲活動(dòng),通過(guò)闖關(guān)的方式激發(fā)學(xué)生的主動(dòng)性,,增強(qiáng)他們的成就感,,將學(xué)生帶入快樂(lè)的外語(yǔ)世界。讓我們走進(jìn)現(xiàn)場(chǎng)感受同學(xué)們的熱情吧,!
為準(zhǔn)備嘉年華闖關(guān)挑戰(zhàn),,各年級(jí)前期都做了精心的籌備。同學(xué)們通過(guò)多語(yǔ)言冬奧手抄報(bào),、課前演講,、閱讀分享等形式對(duì)冬奧相關(guān)的英語(yǔ)表達(dá)進(jìn)行了全面的學(xué)習(xí)和了解,為嘉年華闖關(guān)做好預(yù)熱,。
Hopscotch,、Curling,、Pat and say……闖關(guān)現(xiàn)場(chǎng),活動(dòng)游戲豐富多樣又有趣,,二,、三年級(jí)的同學(xué)們興致勃勃地答題闖關(guān),隨著一關(guān)一關(guān)的前進(jìn),,不知不覺(jué)中奧運(yùn)知識(shí)的積累又上了個(gè)臺(tái)階,。
Chinese Symbol Spy、Blessing to Winter Olympics,、My Olympic Dream……高年級(jí)的學(xué)生通過(guò)各種話(huà)題講述自己與冬奧會(huì)之間的故事,,用流利的英語(yǔ)去描述奧運(yùn)盛會(huì)的方方面面。從易到難,,不同學(xué)段的學(xué)生都能在活動(dòng)中找到適合自己的關(guān)卡,,每個(gè)人都興高采烈、充滿(mǎn)自信,,大家樂(lè)在其中,、學(xué)在其中。
本次嘉年華活動(dòng)設(shè)置了五大關(guān),。When Chinese culture meets Winter Olympics,當(dāng)燦爛的中國(guó)文化碰撞激情的冰雪冬奧,,會(huì)迸發(fā)出怎樣的火花?第一關(guān)中,,小學(xué)生們用外語(yǔ)去尋找,、介紹這些元素,在表達(dá)中體會(huì)用學(xué)過(guò)的詞句來(lái)介紹中國(guó),。
Who’s your favorite athlete? 在北京冬奧會(huì)中,,優(yōu)秀運(yùn)動(dòng)員勇于突破自我,,挑戰(zhàn)極限的拼搏精神給大家留下了深刻的印象,。同學(xué)們紛紛描述自己崇拜的奧運(yùn)明星,表達(dá)自己為未來(lái)奮斗的理想,。
What sports do you want to try? 我校是北京市冰雪運(yùn)動(dòng)特色學(xué)校,,不少同學(xué)就在雪狼冰球隊(duì)、校隊(duì)列滑隊(duì)中參加訓(xùn)練,,第三關(guān)可難不倒大家,,同學(xué)們對(duì)自己喜愛(ài)的冰雪運(yùn)動(dòng)暢所欲言。
Do you know the science and technologies in the Winter Olympics? 在科技問(wèn)答關(guān)卡中,,同學(xué)們對(duì)北京冬奧會(huì)上的科技應(yīng)用如數(shù)家珍,,更是驚嘆我國(guó)高科技領(lǐng)域取得的偉大成就。有不少同學(xué)闖關(guān)時(shí)表示“I want to be a scientist.(我想成為科學(xué)家,。)”
最后一關(guān)是最具挑戰(zhàn)性的“Winter Olympics and me”,。面對(duì)守關(guān)人,,學(xué)生們自信滿(mǎn)滿(mǎn)地講述冬奧故事,抒發(fā)自己的冬奧夢(mèng)想,。心懷理想,,腳踏實(shí)地,原來(lái)奧運(yùn)會(huì)離我們并不遙遠(yuǎn),。
活動(dòng)育人,,潤(rùn)德于心。同學(xué)們通過(guò)參與嘉年華活動(dòng)的各種實(shí)踐項(xiàng)目,,將競(jìng)賽和體驗(yàn)相結(jié)合,,獲得了英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的直接經(jīng)驗(yàn)。一張張自信的笑臉,、一個(gè)個(gè)快樂(lè)的身影,,將春日校園襯托得更加明媚,,外語(yǔ)嘉年華將成為孩子們小學(xué)生活中美好而難忘的回憶。“Together for a Shared Future! ”讓我們?cè)谶@個(gè)燦爛的季節(jié)里,一起向未來(lái),!
四年級(jí)(8)班的黃錦晨、五年級(jí)(1)班的后愛(ài)以及六年級(jí)(4)班的武怡林同學(xué),,是我校小記者團(tuán)成員,,他們用英語(yǔ)記錄分享了自己在嘉年華活動(dòng)現(xiàn)場(chǎng)的觀察和感受。
I think the English Festival has helped create a great environment for English learning in our school, and it is a great time for us students to improve our English skills. We did a lot of exciting and interesting things that could help us improve language skills and become more familiar with Chinese culture. I take pride in our traditional culture, and I am proud to be Chinese. Among the activities today, my friends and I were most excited about “The Best Partner”. We acted and guessed the sports correctly within very short amount of time. We were very proud of ourselves as team-players.
Last month, I also participated in Spelling Bing Dwen Dwen, a spelling competition in my grade. I prepared very hard for the competition, and received lots of help from my teachers and my parents as well. I really want to say “Thank you” to all of them.

Since April began, I started to get excited because of the English Festival. I attended every one of the different festivals in our school, and the English Festival is always the best in my eyes. This year’s English Festival was incredibly fantastic. It was filled with challenging yet interesting activities about technology, sports and culture. I answered questions at different platforms, earned all of the stamps and exchanged the stamps for gifts. This really boosted my confidence in English learning, and afterwards, I will study even harder to achieve higher goals.

I am so excited about the 2022-Winter-Olympics-themed English Festival. Looking back at the Winter Olympics, I am so thrilled to see that our country is so strong, not only because of our scientific and technological developments, but also because our country can tolerate and respond well to different voices.
I’ve had a much deeper understanding of the sports and athletes while preparing for the English Festival. My favorite athlete is Yuzuru Hanyu. I admire his sportsmanship at all times, and that he always tries his best and never gives up. Many of my classmates love Elieen Gu because she is a talented and persistent girl. Both Yuzuru and Elieen are real winners. Today, I felt like my fellow classmates and myself were all like our favorite athletes because we were all very brave when facing the challenging quizzes in the English Festival. We were all winners!
As a sixth grader, I am about to graduate, and this would be my last English Festival. In this sense, I’m both happy and sad today. I will cherish this beautiful memory, and continue to work hard and become the best of me in my future studies.
